i was talking to someone on another site and that they tried a new concept for fantasy football that made the league feel more like a GM than a coach.
that concept is this

It was an auction draft, but the auction amount becomes their salary, which you can commit to for up to 5 years (up to 40 contract years). What you have left over is your FAAB. Cut a player, you are still committed to half their salary. So trades can consist of money, contract sizes matter, off season matters, etc.
We added to it quite a bit, five year bonus, back loading and front loading contracts, IR additions, RFA options, franchise tags, etc.)
thought i would share it so people who do fantasy football might want to do something like this.
