"It's a fine afternoon here in Covington, the sun is shining and the crowd are enthusiastic. I wonder whether the 224 MPH winds will affect the game at all..."

Not a typo.

thats funny on the game center it has 224 winds

yet on the game log it has sunny with 85 degrees and same for the box score

game log = https://badcompany.myfootballnow.com/log/1685
box score = https://badcompany.myfootballnow.com/box/1685

so shouldnt the wind affecter of 224 winds also be on the game log and the box score not only on the game center???

Wow. This was the response from the dark sky server for the date in question:

{"time":XXX, "summary":"Dangerously Windy", "icon":"clear-day", "precipType":"rain", "temperature":84.52, "apparentTemperature":90.04, "dewPoint":71.61, "humidity":0.65, "windSpeed":223.69, "windBearing":116, "visibility":9.997}

Dangerously windy definitely applies. Seems that there may be an error in their data, unless there really was a tornado on the day that was pulled for the weather.

I'm just realizing I've never thought about the weather in a game here. Have to wonder if at least a small portion of passing woes are tied to wind.

Having just watched the first half of this game, I'm going with no.

Snaps and kicks were horrible, getting blown away (hence all the fumbles), but passes flew straight as an arrow.

Weather never really enters my mind, either. Bowl Games are warm weather and indoors. However, deep playoff games before that could factor in. I probably should make that part of my considerations going forward!

Wind causes fumbles??
