The Pittsburgh Panthers will open the 1940 season in a new stadium. Panther Park will be an outdoor stadium that seats 67,166. The stadium has been built by new team owner, Matt Kaiser, who is trying to re-brand the team. Kaiser is striving to establish "a championship franchise built on toughness and hard work." The team will also be donning sleek, new uniforms this year as part of the team's re-branding. Panther Park will see its first action on August 17 when the Portland Lumber Jacks come to town for a pre-season game, and the Panthers will open the regular season at their new stadium on September 8 vs. Baton Rouge.
