New season is underway, should be a good one, best of luck to all and welcome to our new owners.

Great game Shock/ken, could have gone either way after the nice comeback in 3rd qtr to take the lead 14-13. The Shock is def a contender. cheers

GG Knighthawks. I don't know what you did to the ball, but our QBs sure had a hard time throwing it!

Ha, yeah mine too, and I find that irritating as **** when you get a comment about how your QBs passes are wobbling and slippin out of his hand, especially one right after another. That was def a big mistake by JDB to put that **** in the play result as far as Im concerned, and I would bet the majority agrees. What a finish though, you mustve been really sweatin it after the onsides recovery. We were lucky to even be in it, took a 4th and long complete for TD. Great game, Prvt Snow, congrats on the win, the River Monsters are def a force to be reckoned with in the AFL, solid defense and good play selection/gameplan for offense. The "slippery ball" and butter did more damage to the Hawks, 4 picks, last one taking away our chance to tie or take the lead with a minute to go. cheers!

3 of our new team owners opened up with a win after taking over their respective teams, congrats to Sylvo, Fles, and wieczoreks! Tman & billstein got their teams late, am sure they will chalk up a win very soon. Our league is developing a improved level of competition, thats much more enjoyable to compete in than one or two teams/owners dominating a league season after season. cheers!

Not quite sure what to make of the Miners win over the Heroes. The defence was simply smothering despite only recording just one sack. Bad luck to Jon 75, his side have had a hot start to the season and it looks like it was just one of those days where little went right for Huntington. They look to good a side to not bounce back next week. It does set up a spicy return match for the division rivals.

How did everyone else go?

Padded my stats vs an AI. Always hold my breath in those games vs AI, I've been burned too many times before...

GG Dallas. That's the definition of a bend-don't-break defense! Shut down my comeback attempts.

There's nothing more infuriating than a loss to an AI team; especially in the playoffs.

That was ugly, Smirt211. I still can't figure out this version. Don't know if I really want to, either.

Well Craze, all I can tell you and everyone else who are trying to figure out version 4.3 based on my experience with it so far is the following:

1. Defense has changed from inside blitzes to outside, the Dbl LB blitz from the 4-3 and Nickel are not as effective, you can see that by the aack totals. You have 2 of the top four sackers, so you cant complain there, lol. However, LBs are completely gone from the first page of sack leaders. DT pressure has been reduced. So, with the reduction in pass rush pressure, the secondary is under more pressure to cover.

2. The passing game has stepped up the use of the TE a bunch. Again, all you need to do is have a look at the league receiving stats.

3. There are highly irritating comments in the play result about how the QB is throwing like ****, lol. May be tied to a combination of ability and fatigue level. Instead of all the slipping and wobbling, jdb should have been more entertaining, like "he threw a duck there".

4. Goaline offensive plays still exploit the goaline defense when used for more than 0-2 yard situations, and the outside run pitches have become more effective.

5. The RBs now take up a lot of passes to the outside, way excessive, which is typical of a jdb change in code/algs. And also irritating is how many they drop or incomplete. Saw a couple of posts about how the short passing has not been working as well in 4.3

6. Offense seems much more unpredictable, just my opinion. QB performance is more tied to their passing skill attributes. Will need to have a look at top 10 QBs by stat rating to date for the season, but that seems to be the case. Read a couple of comments where the complaint was that interceptions were up, again, will look at the league stats to see if that has merit. Or check your own QB vs last season to see if the interceptions/per pass attempts ratio is up or not. If so, that might be an attempt to encourage more running vs passing.

Those are the ones that stand out to me so far, there are several threads about 4.3, and the best is usually in MFN-1 where they tested it first. Hope this helps all, cheers
